Oliver Della Costa Stuenkel ist Professor für Internationale Politik der Getulio Vargas Stiftung (FGV) in São Paulo. Er ist außerdem Non-Resident Fellow am Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in Washington D.C. und am Global Public Policy Institute (GPPi) in Berlin, sowie Kolumnist für Estado de São Paulo und Americas Quarterly. Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte sind Geopolitik und globale Ordnung, brasilianische Außenpolitik, lateinamerikanische Politik und aufsteigende Mächte. Er ist Autor mehrerer Bücher über Geopolitik, darunter The BRICS and the Future of Global Order (Lexington) und The Post-Western World: How Emerging Powers Are Remaking Global Order (Polity).
